That can be arranged, I’m sure

Elon Musk says he wants to die ‘off coast of Mars’

Elon Musk claims he wants to die “off the coast of Mars” after having poor cell service.
Musk, who is offering a $100,000 for a strange role at his Tesla company, was a surprise guest at Michael Milken’s annual Hamptons Prostate Cancer Foundation gala, speaking in front of a crowd filled with fellow billionaires.
The conversation was based on various Musk talking points, including his space project Starlink that recently shared an update about its Neuralink brain chip patient.
“I had important texts to respond to on the way here and couldn’t… people were asking where I was, Timbuktu?” Musk reportedly said.
A person who heard the conversation said that Musk said: “He wanted to die in a capsule off the coast of Mars.”

I’m not sure what that evens means, given that Mars has no oceans to have coastlines, and planets don’t actually have coastlines either. Also, is this apparent death wish related somehow to his mobile service problems? If so, how and why, as well as what the fuck? If not… also what the fuck? Cos after all the years of bullshit about going to Mars, it’s weird that he’s willing to settle for the “coast” of it… what does he think he is, Moses not being allowed into the promised land or something? I don’t know. Also, the article mentions that the only political topic under discussion at this conclave was immigration. For some reason that strikes me as far less of a surprise…

Look back in wanker

Oh, MARVELLOUS. There’s been so much discourse on Threads about the Oasis reunion—particularly regarding the preposterous ticket costs and the difficulty of actually getting through to Ticketmaster to purchase them—but none of it has been as mighty as this. Just filled me with absolute joy when I saw this. Also, a friend posted this on FB:

Rather more sensibly priced, and I daresay more likely to be better than the real thing. Although would it be an Oasis tribute without “Liam” and “Noel” getting cunted on cocaine and fighting with each other for the whole show?

So let’s be honest, I am disappointed in the response, or lack thereof to be more accurate, to these mixes I’ve been making… thus far, the most listeners any of them has been 29, several of the others have barely made it into double figures, and some haven’t even made it that far. It’s hard not to feel like I’m wasting my time and effort a bit… so, obviously, the logical thing to do was really waste my time and effort by making a two-hour extravaganza… but the thing is, I’m particularly happy with the result, rather more so than many of the other episodes I’ve done so far, and I’m particularly happy with next week’s too which is in pretty much the same vein. I possibly should’ve been doing two-hour mixes all along, even though they do take more effort… anyway, for the three people who are likely to be interested, here’s this week’s episode.

Goth as FUCK

I must admit, dying at a Cure concert is a lot more goth than most of us will ever manage to be. The story is actually kind of extraordinary, and she probably was as lucky as she says that it happened where it did rather than somewhere where there weren’t people around her that could stop her from dying; indeed, if she was clinically dead for that long, I’m impressed that she didn’t stay dead properly…
