Meanwhile, in the Unhinged States…

This has been the funniest thing to come out of American politics this week:

Yes, someone at the Democrats ACTUALLY GREW A FUCKING SPINE FOR ONCE and snapped back at undeniable ugly fuck Stephen Miller in words they would understand. Apparently this constitutes “violent political rhetoric” in the eyes of Katie Miller, the ugly fuck’s wife, who also doxxed the poster of the above reply as Paulina Mangubat. Pleasingly, Paulina is unrepentant in the face of it all:

“All we did was say what everyone else is thinking, which is, ‘Shut up—that’s not what people care about right now,’” Mangubat says. She added that there’s no reason to regret using the “ugly” moniker to describe Miller.
“What he’s doing is ugly—siccing federal agents on civilians, applauding when families are separated. It is ugly behavior,” Mangubat said. “The reason this happened is because Stephen Miller, who is one of the most powerful men in the country, decided that it would be a good use of his time to go on Twitter and hurl an untrue and transphobic attack against James Talarico.”
It’s worth stressing that the roots of this saga lie in the depiction of Talarico as transgender—and that this was intended as a vicious insult. Indeed, Stephen Miller went on a tear after this exchange, going on Fox News and ripping Talarico as soft and effeminate in every way he could. Miller derided Talarico as “transitioning to female,” mocking his testosterone count and claiming Talarico’s blood is made of “soy milk.”

The Republicans do seem to be quite alarmed about this Talarico fellow, cos his opponent, Ken Paxton, did well in the Texas primary the other day but seems to be widely unpopular as a person; apparently his own staff reported him for corruption to the FBI when he was the Texas A-G, and amidst other things he’s faced more recent criticism over cutting a deal with a lawyer facing a life sentence on child abuse charges and getting that reduced to SIXTY DAYS, of which he only served half of that. Paxton is evident scum and the Republicans are worried that Talarico could actually become the first Democrat senator in Texas since the 80s, hence the peculiar and desperate attempts to paint him as transgender (or at least gay) and, worst of all, VEGAN! Clearly that’s the worst possible thing he could be…

Honestly, the stupidest thing the Democrats did was reigning in Tim Walz on the “weird” rhetoric during the 2024 campaign. And, to be sure, I kind of understand the thinking, it’s all about being bigger than the Republicans, moral high ground, adults in the room, etc… I understand it but it gets them nowhere cos the Republicans don’t care about being the adults in the room, they’re satisfied with being fundamentally juvenile because it works for them. I know it doesn’t look good for the Dems to descend to their level, and it only makes the whole spectacle of American politics even less edifying, but they may as well. Cos you can see by the Republican reaction to Stephen Miller being called what he is that it bothers them. The Dems need to bother them more often. Call them all ugly fucks. Call them all weird. Keep describing them as abnormal. Just ATTACK them. The Dems need more Paulinas.

A reasonable response by a reasonable man

As I have possibly said more than once before, I’m kind of sick of those people who get the vapours about Trump doing something he legally can’t do, as if they think he thinks he is constrained in any way by little things like laws. That said, when a court finally deigns to do something about it, it’s always pleasant to see, and though the renaming of the Kennedy Centre was a minor thing compared to, you know, international incidents in Iran and Venezuela, there was something singularly irritating about him doing that, it just seemed particularly egregious for some reason. For all Kennedy’s faults, he didm’t and doesn’t deserve to be associated with Mushroom Cock, who seems to have taken the judge’s decision… personally. I know he’s prone to verbal diarrhoea on Truth Social but he really went off on this one, as far as I can tell that’s a single post (just divided in four, click to enlarge, etc).  On the plus side, maybe performers will actually want to play there again if his name’s not on it…

A story you won’t see in Penthouse Forum

No refunds for 15,000 Australian ticket holders after Candace Owens’ tour cancelled

Honestly, I really am sick of all these fucking people, but I still want to be able to laugh at their misfortunes; I’ve been greatly enjoying the recent collapse of Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire empire, and now I’m equally pleased to see his erstwhile employee and Hitler apologist get caught short…

None of the 15,000 ticket holders for conservative influencer Candace Owens’ cancelled Australian tour are expected to get their money back from the promoter, after it spent all its money then collapsed.
Owens herself says she is hundreds of thousands of dollars out of pocket and claims she was misled by the promoter, Rocksman, a company with links to the influential conservative lobby group Turning Point Australia.
Rocksman collapsed with just 21 Australian cents in its bank account and will never refund Owens, her Australian ticket holders or other creditors, according to its liquidator’s statutory report to creditors, filed with Asic and dated 3 March.

Oh FUCK, TURNING POINT (indirectly) fucked with Candace again! That just makes the whole thing even better!

Owens claims to be among those owed money: her spokesperson said Rocksman had promised to cover the costs of challenging her visa refusal at the high court.
“Candace’s team ended up paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills, as well as providing numerous loans to Rocksman to make refunds [before] it became apparent that their assurances were meaningless,” the spokesperson said.
Owens’ spokesperson said she only learned of the company’s liquidation through the Guardian’s reporting in January.
“Right up until the last day, they were still promising us that refunds were just around the corner,” Owens’ spokesperson alleged.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This is one of the clowns at fault, being Damien Costas (who is six years my junior but somehow already looked older than me five years ago), characterised in the article I got this from as the “Sydney porn king”; he was the local publisher of Penthouse, but back in his native South Australia he’d been a Liberal staffer, and somehow I am not as surprised to find Penthouse was published here by a South Australian Liberal employee as I wish I was. This debacle with Rocksman is not his first bankruptcy rodeo, as he’s got two major fuck-ups to his credit already, and by the look of it the main lesson him and his partner Joel Jammal (the guy who founded the local Turning Point chapter) have learned from this one was to spend all the money before they were forced to return (as they had to when their tour of Don Jr. fell apart). I think that may prove to have been silly of them. No sympathy for anyone involved, and that includes all the chuds who bought the tickets. As for Candace herself, eh, she’ll be fine; she just needs to make a couple of videos accusing Erika Kirk of something, and the Youtube revenue will soon make up the shortfall…

Of course

Haven’t said anything about that hantavirus outbreak so far, but, well, how could I not now that I know Mushroom Cock’s got his most qualified man on the case, in the great tradition of RFK Jr.:

A new virus is killing people as global health organizations work to control its spread and convince the public that the hantavirus outbreak is just an outbreak — not another pandemic. Americans can rest assured that Dr. Brian Christine, a penile implant specialist and assistant secretary for health at the Department of Health and Human Services, is on the case.
According to a Friday report from CNN’s KFile, Christine — an admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps — is a surgical urologist with virtually no experience in public health. He once hosted an “Erection Connection” video series on YouTube, and spread conspiracies about the Covid-19 vaccine during the Biden administration. He is now one of the Trump administration’s top officials in charge of infectious disease policy. […]
This week, Christine gave an update on the conditions of potentially infected passengers who were repatriated to a Nebraska medical center after being evacuated from the Dutch cruise ship MV Hondius. “At the Department of Health and Human Services, our approach is grounded in science and it’s grounded in transparency,” he said. “This is what strong public health system looks like, experienced professionals, seamless coordination, and a shared commitment to protecting the American people. We’ll continue to follow the science. We will stay vigilant.”
It’s a vastly different tone from the attitude he took during the Covid-19 pandemic. During Christine’s confirmation hearings before the Senate, The Washington Post reported that the urologist had claimed there was “no question” that Covid-19 and the subsequent government response had been used to tilt the 2020 election in Biden’s favor, and suggested vaccines were part of a larger plot to exert control over the American population.

Apparently it’s OK to follow the science when it’s not an election year, or something like that.

That was quick

Reform councillor quits days after election

Oh dear. I was unhappy about Reform’s successes in the recent UK elections. despite the efforts of one commentator on social media to pretemd the outcome wasn’t that bad cos more than 70 percent of voters didn’t vote for them… meaning that nearly 30 percent did, of course, which is far too many. Still, there’s already one down…

A Reform UK councillor who was elected last week has resigned and been expelled from the party.
Stuart Prior was one of 53 Reform members who were elected to Essex County Council and earned a majority on the authority for Nigel Farage’s party. Prior also gained a seat on Rochford District Council.
But he was accused the week before the elections of creating racist and Islamophobic posts on social media by Hope Not Hate.
The BBC attempted to contact Prior. He denied being a racist when approached by the Daily Mirror newspaper. […]
Stuart Prior is alleged to have described white people as “the master race” who have “larger brains”.
Hope Not Hate also claimed Prior deleted an X account named @essexpriory earlier this year which had tweeted in November “Muslims are dirt” and “Muslims are awful, globally”. He was accused of posting that genocide could not be committed against them. […]
Farage was asked by BBC Essex last month if all of Reform’s candidates had been vetted in the county.
“I know that our candidates will be held to a higher standard than any of the other parties,” said the Clacton MP.
“That’s because we are the challengers. We are the ones taking on the establishment. Yet we have done a good, thorough professional job”.

A professional job of what, though? Apparently the party had been advised before the election that this Prior individual was a liability, so why did they let him through only to dump him almost immediately after the election? I don’t understand the thinking on Reform’s part, but then again there probably wasn’t any thinking in the first place…

Scum and villainy

As a not exactly mega fan of Star Wars, I have always found Star Wars Day kind of irritating…

I made this a few years ago in “protest”

…but tonight I have discovered something interesting:

Oh?

OH.

Apparently this is something that’s always been known about, in that there was a making of book about Empire Strikes Back and this was recorded in that (albeit with slightly incorrect details), but, because I am me, I am only finding out about it now forty-seven years later. I wonder how much this influenced the later popularity of the phrase. Either way, though, I now have an actually good reason to be irritated by May the Fourth…

Abe Lincoln would like a word, too

OK. According to the story that I presume this Cody Simpson believes, Jesus was judicially killed by the Romans. Trump is still alive, even if only just, and his rotten physical health will almost certainly do him in before the courts ever will. I think that’s a slight difference between him and that Christ character (we will, of course, leave aside the theological question of whether the latter still “lives” or not)…

Geography lesson

Mark… my brother in Christ… mate… you’re only going to be a state senator if you even get that far. Even as a proper US senator, though, this would be somewhat beyond you. Hagia Sophia is in fucking TURKEY, and not even that goon Graham can do shit about it. Erdogan reopened it as mosque in the face of opposition from within his own country amd the UN. You think he gives a fuck about a trifling racist cunt like YOU? And it’s been a mosque since before the US was even a country, for fuck’s sake. It’s not exactly a new thing. I mean, Erdogan making it a mosque again in 2020 after Ataturk turned it into a museum in 1935 is probably not a good sign of Turkey’s health as a secular country, but if this Dixieland pissant thinks he’s going to stop him Islamising the place, he’s delusional…

WHCD? Whatever

I honestly don’t know what to say about the perplexing “events” at the White House Correspondents Dinner a couple of days ago, so I’m just going to let Mike Figueredo do it for me. Personally I don’t know what to make of all the “false flag” theorising that’s emerged from it…

…in that, frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised to discover it was a false flag, but I’d be equally unsurprised to discover it wasn’t. Not, of course, that we’ll ever find out either way, but still. It’s just, you know, America being America in the age of Mushroom Cock. You get up each day, have breakfast, check the news… “yeah, that’s the bullshit America’s on today, oh well, time I was getting on with my own”… I mean, someone actually did die in that 2024 shooting, which is the consideration that stops me writing that off as a hoax in the way that even MAGAts are (apparently) increasingly thinking it was. But there’s so much cynicism about what the administration does and how it does it that you can’t blame people’s cynicism about this sort of thing. A false flag? The real deal? I can honestly believe either. I don’t know either way, and I’m not sure I even care either way. It’s America’s bullshit as usual, whatever it is, and I’m just so fucking sick of it.
