It’s not enough for Oolong to be a terminal fool, he has to keep announcing that he is one, evidently. I mean, a lot of books are longer than they need to be (looking at Stephen King’s collected works here, I’m sure most of you could benefit from an editor who’s not afraid of him), but this really isn’t the way to fix that…
Oddly enough, I did a search for “Elon Musk books” just to see if there were any lists of his favourite reading (making the possibly bold assumption that he reads at all, of course), and I actually found a few, including—somewhat to my own surprise—some with actual fiction. SF/fantasy, mostly. Including Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged (because OBVIOUSLY), somewhat ironically given what he says here about how most books could be shorter… Even more ironically, I found one of his recommended lists on a site called Blinkist, which is an app that, well, summarises the salient points of books… you know, technology that already exists, ELON. Keep up to date, man, even I’ve known about Blinkist for years, it’s only been around since 2012…
Also, one of his favourite books was a biography of Howard Hughes, whose life he described as “a cautionary tale”. Be nice if he remembered the lessons he learned from Hughes and apply them to his own life at some point…
