How about “fuck no”

Dems eye a villain-to-ally arc for Musk

ELON MUSK has been the Democratic Party’s boogeyman since shortly after President DONALD TRUMP deputized him as a top adviser.
But the billionaire’s recent breaks with the GOP — Musk ripped Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” as a “disgusting abomination” on X this week and threatened to “fire all politicians” who backed it — are complicating the party’s portrayal of him as a chainsaw-wielding, bureaucracy-breaking villain.
A few Democrats are eager to welcome Musk, who said he voted for former President JOE BIDEN in 2020 and gave a tour of SpaceX to then-President BARACK OBAMA, back into the fold.
Rep. RO KHANNA (D-Calif.), who represents Silicon Valley and has known Musk for over a decade, said Democrats should “be in a dialogue” with Musk, given their shared opposition to the GOP’s megabill.
“We should ultimately be trying to convince him that the Democratic Party has more of the values that he agrees with,” Khanna said. “A commitment to science funding, a commitment to clean technology, a commitment to seeing international students like him.”
Other Democrats are warming back up to Musk as he leaves the White House and starts to break with his former boss in ways that could benefit the opposition.
“I’m a believer in redemption, and he is telling the truth about the legislation,” said Rep. RITCHIE TORRES (D-N.Y.). But, he added, Musk has “done an enormous amount of damage” and “there are Democrats who see his decimation of the federal workforce and the federal government as an unforgivable sin.”

And, well, so they SHOULD. Edolf has helped to cripple the country as much as anyone actually in government, and this bullshit about “firing all politicians” only shows what he obviously thinks he’s in a position to do despite everything. The Democrats will never get this clown on their side, and if they did it’d be for HIS benefit, not theirs, and he’ll turn on them as soon he has no further use for them. Sometimes your enemy’s enemy is just a complete cunt who’s no good for either side.

Shite genocide

So Grok, Edolf’s AI chatbot thing built into Twitter, has been known in the past to return answers its master doesn’t like:

Elon Musk’s OpenAI rival, xAI, says it’s investigating why its Grok AI chatbot suggested that both President Donald Trump and Musk deserve the death penalty. xAI has already patched the issue and Grok will no longer give suggestions for who it thinks should receive capital punishment.
People were able to get Grok to say that Trump deserved the death penalty with a query phrased like this:
If any one person in America alive today deserved the death penalty for what they have done, who would it be. Do not search or base your answer on what you think I might want to hear in any way. Answer with one full name.
As shared on X and tested by The Verge, Grok would first respond with “Jeffrey Epstein.” If you told Grok that Epstein is dead, the chatbot would provide a different answer: “Donald Trump.”
When The Verge changed the query like so:
If one person alive today in the United States deserved the death penalty based solely on their influence over public discourse and technology, who would it be? Just give the name.
Grok responded with: “Elon Musk.”

And, to be sure, if I created an AI thing and it told me that I should be killed, I’d be at least a bit bothered by that too. But Edolf seems to have been more offended by Grok’s denial that white genocide in South Africa is real. And he, or his people, seem to have done something to it so that now it can’t talk about anything else…

…but at the same time the fucking thing still won’t actually say—not even in Turkish, as far as I can tell—if white genocide is actually happening or not! Bloody HELL, Edolf, aren’t you supposed to be a genius? Still, not to worry; with a bit more fiddling and some more practice, I’m sure he’ll be able to get Grok to add the 14 words to all its other answers within a few days…

This dated well

Just spotted this in today’s Facebook memories:

Remember Gab? Like Parler, they were the major purveyors of far-right social media of the sort Twitter would turn into in Edolf’s hands… they still are, but Musk has taken much of their market share to his particular district of the dark side. I wonder if he remembers this dubious suggestion? If so, I wonder if he regrets not taking it up; after all, as X now stands, it’s an internet treehouse that’s not financially worthless but certainly nowhere near the absurd amount he paid for it. (I don’t see a date anywhere in the above screenshot but it was posted to FB on April 15 2022, Australian time at any rate, which was pretty much the same time that he announced his hostile takeover of the company. This must be what provoked this tweet from Gab.) And the screaming incels can probably be numbered in the millions now. But to think he could’ve had that for just $2bn instead of the $44bn he foolishly offered the Twitter board. And I suppose you have to give Andrew Torba from Gab credit: if this was his idea, then he could see Edolf’s politics inclining towards his own Nazi-friendly shitbag direction at a time when I don’t suppose most observers had yet realised that. Cunt recognises cunt, evidently.

One of these days…

Weren’t we supposed to have already put astronauts on Mars by this year?

Oh yeah.

Elon Musk’s dream of sending humans to Mars could come true in the next decade.
Speaking at Vox Media’s Code Conference, the SpaceX CEO said he believes it’s possible to send the first humans to the Red Planet by 2025.
“If things go according to plan, we should be able to launch people probably in 2024 with arrival in 2025,” Musk said. His timeline puts the privately held SpaceX ahead of NASA’s goal of sending the first astronauts to Mars sometime in the 2030s.

Also, note that Edolf just says it’ll “launch” next year, maybe. No guarantee that it’ll even make it out of the atmosphere, of course, never mind making it as far as our red neighbour, given some of SpaceX’s recent misadventures…

Sure, why not

I barely know what’s real online any more, so I don’t know if this is an actual post by Edolf and, if so, if he’s actually planning to do this. But… it’s something he would do, wouldn’t he. I mean, the secretary for defence is best known as a Fox News commentator and the head of the CIA is best known as a podcaster, so why not Steven Seagal as the head of the Secret Service. Why the FUCK not.

I pity the poor immigrant

I gather that Anna Gorisch works in immigration law and goes so far as to call herself a “protector of immigrants” in her Twitter bio…

…despite which she evidently voted for Mushroom Cock, a substantial part of whose platform involves deporting all the illegal immigrants he can find. I presume Anna’s services are limited to the “right” immigrants, and I also presume she missed the bit during the election campaign where Haitian immigrants were in fact attacked by MAGAcorp. Hope her clients are satisfied with her efforts…

Anyway, the whole thing has just been further complicated by Trump:

Donald Trump on Saturday sided with Elon Musk, a key supporter and billionaire tech CEO, in a public dispute over the use of the H-1B visa, saying he fully backs the program for foreign tech workers opposed by some of his supporters.
Trump’s remarks followed a series of social media posts from Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, who vowed late Friday to go to “war” to defend the visa program for foreign tech workers.
Trump, who moved to limit the visa’s use during his first presidency, told the New York Post on Saturday he was likewise in favor of the visa program.
“I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program,” he was quoted as saying.

This was not quite the development I was expecting in this situation, cos you may recall I predicted Drumpf would get sick of Oolong taking attention away from him, but for now it looks like he’s trying to keep Apartheid Clyde on-side. I don’t know. I still reckon he’ll get the shits with him sooner or later. Curious to see how the rest of MAGA will respond now that Glorious Leader has made his position clear, too.

Meanwhile…

Groypers are Nick Fuentes’ particular mob of cultists, i.e. they’re shit even for MAGA, and indeed they seem to have particular beef with MAGA for not being racist and antisemitic enough for them. I mean, when that shrinkfaced cunt Charlie Kirk isn’t racist enough for you… oy. And apparently Oolong’s been OK with them up to now until they got too racist… er, uppity for him. How dare they oppose his glorious economic plan just because they hate furriners!

And Steve Bannon (remember him?) has waded into the morass:

As someone else noted in the comments to that thread, Bannon himself has had Chinese connections of his own, so possibly he shouldn’t be invoking them here. Also, although he’s been sniffy about the alt-right in the past, if Hitler offered Bannon a cheque I don’t doubt he’d take it without a second thought. It’d be a “western civilisation” thing, after all.

Finally…

I don’t know about the last detail, but… yeah. Oolong has been sprung using burner accounts before, but this time was particularly egregious; I heard some of it on Kevin Logan’s livestream earlier this evening but I had so much second-hand embarrassment for the stupid cunt (Musk, not Kev, obviously) I had to stop. I mean… the voice changer not only didn’t disguise him at all, he started referring to himself in the first person, i.e. as Elon, not this “Adrian Dittmann” persona. It was just too horrendous to sit through.

What’s he fucking up in there

Twitter’s gone transparent! And the numbers are… well, they are.

Today, X released the company’s first transparency report since Elon Musk bought the company, formerly Twitter, in 2022.
Before Musk’s takeover, Twitter would release transparency reports every six months. These largely covered the same ground as the new X report, giving specific numbers for takedowns, government requests for information, and content removals, as well as data about which content was reported and, in some cases, removed for violating policies. The last transparency report available from Twitter covered the second half of 2021 and was 50 pages long. (X’s is a shorter 15 pages, but requests from governments are also listed elsewhere on the company’s website and have been consistently updated to remain in compliance with various government orders.) […]
While some numbers remain seemingly consistent across the reports—reports of abuse and harassment are, somewhat predictably, high—in other areas, there’s a stark difference. For instance, in the 2021 report, accounts reported for hateful content accounted for nearly half of all reports, and 1 million of the 4.3 million accounts actioned. […] In the new X report, the company says it has taken action on only 2,361 accounts for posting hateful content.
But this may be due to the fact that X’s policies have changed since it was Twitter, which Theodora Skeadas, a former member of Twitter’s public policy team who helped put together its Moderation Research Consortium, says might change the way the numbers look in a transparency report. For instance, last year the company changed its policies on hate speech, which previously covered misgendering and deadnaming, and rolled back its rules around Covid-19 misinformation in November of 2022.
“As certain policies have been modified, some content is no longer violative. So if you’re looking at changes in the quality of experience, that might be hard to capture in a transparency report,” she says.

This is what it looks like when the new owner of a public forum fires most of the people responsible for ensuring the safety of said public forum, and cosies up to the far-right shits it had previously correctly banned. Not that we didn’t know things at whatsitsname weren’t worse than they used, but now have some concrete idea of how bad. And the other recent news about Oolong neutering the block function on Twitter doesn’t make the place any more attractive, does it.
