Out in the cold

It’s Mushroom Cock’s inauguration tomorrow, and the big day is… being moved indoors for the first time since 1985. Which means a bunch of people who were going to be there now don’t have anything to go to…

Poor MAGA. Listen to my heart bleed. As has been noted, the weather on JFK’s inauguration day was basically the same as that predicted for tomorrow, and it still went ahead outside…

…But I’m also seeing a bunch of people on Threads saying the weather isn’t the issue anyway, and potential crowd size is the real problem. Apparently hotels in DC aren’t exactly sold out, and people are speculating he’s trying to avoid a repeat of the first time around, when attendance numbers were unspectacular compared to those of his immediate predecessor and the  unfortunate Sean Spicer was left having to tell transparent lies about how many people were “really” there. I would not be surprised to find this is in fact the actual case.

Parenthetically, Jimmy Carter was buried a few days ago, and the Carter Centre apparently released this image from the service…

…taken from an angle which VERY cunningly wipes Drumpf out of it (he was sitting directly to Obama’s left). I never actually saw any media coverage of the image or for that matter any discussion of it at all apart from the person I grabbed it from, so I don’t know if anyone on the right was fuming about this Stalinist unpersoning of Glorious Leader from an official photo, but fuck them if they were; we all saw the cunt was there in other photos where a pillar couldn’t obscure him, no one really wanted him there, and none of us wants to be reminded that he was. I’ll live with him being struck from the record…
