Stephen Colbert’s time on the Late Show finally came to its premature end last week. This was Mushroom Cock’s reasoned response:

I know they say every conservative accusation is really a confession, but damn, Krasnov’s really pushing that here. This could be absolutely about his own worthless self, and people will absolutely be saying that last sentence about him when his own unnecessarily delayed and protracted season finale comes.

A story you won’t see in Penthouse Forum

No refunds for 15,000 Australian ticket holders after Candace Owens’ tour cancelled

Honestly, I really am sick of all these fucking people, but I still want to be able to laugh at their misfortunes; I’ve been greatly enjoying the recent collapse of Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire empire, and now I’m equally pleased to see his erstwhile employee and Hitler apologist get caught short…

None of the 15,000 ticket holders for conservative influencer Candace Owens’ cancelled Australian tour are expected to get their money back from the promoter, after it spent all its money then collapsed.
Owens herself says she is hundreds of thousands of dollars out of pocket and claims she was misled by the promoter, Rocksman, a company with links to the influential conservative lobby group Turning Point Australia.
Rocksman collapsed with just 21 Australian cents in its bank account and will never refund Owens, her Australian ticket holders or other creditors, according to its liquidator’s statutory report to creditors, filed with Asic and dated 3 March.

Oh FUCK, TURNING POINT (indirectly) fucked with Candace again! That just makes the whole thing even better!

Owens claims to be among those owed money: her spokesperson said Rocksman had promised to cover the costs of challenging her visa refusal at the high court.
“Candace’s team ended up paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills, as well as providing numerous loans to Rocksman to make refunds [before] it became apparent that their assurances were meaningless,” the spokesperson said.
Owens’ spokesperson said she only learned of the company’s liquidation through the Guardian’s reporting in January.
“Right up until the last day, they were still promising us that refunds were just around the corner,” Owens’ spokesperson alleged.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This is one of the clowns at fault, being Damien Costas (who is six years my junior but somehow already looked older than me five years ago), characterised in the article I got this from as the “Sydney porn king”; he was the local publisher of Penthouse, but back in his native South Australia he’d been a Liberal staffer, and somehow I am not as surprised to find Penthouse was published here by a South Australian Liberal employee as I wish I was. This debacle with Rocksman is not his first bankruptcy rodeo, as he’s got two major fuck-ups to his credit already, and by the look of it the main lesson him and his partner Joel Jammal (the guy who founded the local Turning Point chapter) have learned from this one was to spend all the money before they were forced to return (as they had to when their tour of Don Jr. fell apart). I think that may prove to have been silly of them. No sympathy for anyone involved, and that includes all the chuds who bought the tickets. As for Candace herself, eh, she’ll be fine; she just needs to make a couple of videos accusing Erika Kirk of something, and the Youtube revenue will soon make up the shortfall…

Michael Bay To Direct True Story On Largest Rescue Mission In American History To Save Two Downed Pilots In Iran

You know… that rescue where they’ve never actually named the guys they rescued, or proved that they even exist? That one. That true story.

Sources tell Deadline that Bay is developing a feature film chronicling the extraordinary heroism of the two U.S. airmen rescued after their F-15E Strike Eagle was downed during Operation Epic Fury. The film will be based on the upcoming book by Mitchell Zuckoff, which HarperCollins will publish in 2027.
In early April, a month after Operation Epic Fury began, the U.S. military launched a massive, successful rescue operation in the Zagros Mountains of Iran after the jet was shot down. The daring extraction successfully recovered the pilot as well as the weapons system officer from hostile forces behind enemy lines. The mission made global headlines and caught Bay’s eye as he was deciding what might be the next thing he directs. Bay most recently directed Ambulance for Universal and has a production deal with the studio, making it the obvious choice for the package once he was on board.
The film will reunite Bay with producers Scott Gardenhour and Erwin Stoff, who all collaborated on another true war story, 13 Hours: The Secret Solders of Benhazi. Bay, Stoff and Gardenhour will produce the new pic.
Bay has spent nearly three decades collaborating with the U.S. military and law enforcement on films including The Rock, Bad Boys and Armageddon. Most notably on titles including Pearl Harbor, Transformers and 13 Hours, military leadership provided immense logistical support, equipment and personnel to ensure accurate portrayals of the U.S. Armed Forces.
When reached by Deadline for comment, Bay said: “I’ve had an amazing partnership over my 30-year career working with the Department of War and amazing U.S. military members. In my film 13 Hours, no rescue force answered the call for help. This film is about everyone who answered the call in one of the most complex, intricate and high-stakes operations in recent history. It celebrates the true heroism and unwavering dedication of our service members.”

In other words, it looks like a retread of Black Hawk Down, which was a transparent attempt to rewrite the debacle of the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993, with some exceptions: Operation Gothic Serpent (the actual official name of the Somalia event) was a far cooler name than Operation Epic Fury; the Iran debacle isn’t actually over yet; the people that BHD was about verifiably existed; and this is going to be absolutely and overtly government propaganda. The real executive producers of this thing are going to be Pete Hegseth and Mushroom Cock. Maybe they can give cameos or something to the “real” airmen.

O fuckwit, why art thou?

I have no idea if Christopher Nolan’s film of the Odyssey is any good or not (obviously, cos no one’s seen the thing yet) but it’s already pissing off the right people:

Elon Musk is facing backlash after he went on another online crusade against Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated forthcoming film The Odyssey.
Nolan confirmed in a recent interview that Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o will play dual roles as both Helen of Troy and her sister Clytemnestra in his adaptation of Homer’s epic, slated for a July release.
The casting news sparked swarms of racially charged and misogynistic posts directed at the 12 Years a Slave star, with many people pointing out that Helen of Troy was renowned in Greek mythology as the most beautiful woman in the world.
Right-wing commentator Matt Walsh claimed in an unfounded X post that “not one person on the planet actually thinks that Lupita Nyong’o is ‘the most beautiful woman in the world,’” and added, “Christopher Nolan knows that he would be called racist if he gave ‘the most beautiful woman’ role to a white woman. Nolan is technically talented but a coward. Too afraid to do anything that even slightly challenges the spirit of the age.”
Musk, 54, responded to the post by simply saying: “True.”

I do find it a little odd that this article (and, to be sure, others on the theme) picks up on Edolf reposting Malsh Walsh being a racist rather than Malsh himself, but I suppose more people know who Edolf is… they’re also not happy about Elliot Page being in the film, apparently as the ghost of Achilles, because there’s no transgender people in classical mythology so there shouldn’t be any in films about classical myths either… But, obviously the point is that the story of the Odyssey IS a myth, and they’re getting worked up about people who never existed in the first place. Odysseus moves through a literal world of gods and monsters; the Cyclopes, Scylla and Charybdis, the Sirens, the Laestrygonians, Circe transforming his crew into pigs, Calypso, Zeus, Aeolus, Athena, all of that is apparently fine for these shitheads… and instead for them the most unbelievable thing about this film is that a white character—who, again, never existed—could be played by a black woman. I can’t help but feel that if Nolan had cast a brown-eyed white brunette, Malsh and Tim Polio and Edolf and all these other cunts would have no problem with her not matching the traditional description of Helen either…

EDIT Friday afternoon:

I hear you’re an antisemite now, father

RTÉ to show ‘Father Ted’ instead of Eurovision in Israel protest, Graham Linehan calls it “antisemitic harrassment”

Irish broadcaster RTÉ has confirmed plans to show Father Ted rather than Eurovision in protest against Israel’s involvement in the ceremony.
Ireland is one of several countries to have withdrawn from competing in Eurovision in 2026 due to Israel’s participation, alongside Spain, Iceland, the Netherlands and Slovenia.
Now, Ireland’s national broadcaster RTÉ has gone a step further by confirming it will air the Eurovision special of the beloved sitcom Father Ted on RTÉ 2 rather than showcasing the singing competition, which is due to take place on May 16th in Vienna, Austria.
Similarly, the Slovenian national broadcaster will also not be showing Eurovision amid the boycott. Instead, they will be airing Voices of Palestine, a series of documentaries on the Middle East.
However, Father Ted creator Graham Linehan, who has become a vocal supporter of Israel in recent years, has aired his anger on social media with RTÉ for their decision to air his show instead of the 70th edition of Eurovision.
Taking to X, Linehan shared a link to a petition, which he created, calling for RTÉ’s director general, Kevin Bakhurst, to resign, writing, “Please join me in demanding the resignation of RTE’s Director General for using Father Ted as a tool of antisemitic harassment.”

As a serial hater and harrasser of trans folks, I suspect that Glinner is… not the best person to be making a statement like this. Also, can we not just boycott (which I initially wrote as “goycott”… Freudian slip or just struggling with a new laptop keyboard? You decide)—I say, can we not just boycott Eurovision on aesthetic grounds? Sometimes you don’t need to drag politics into a thing…

That was quick

Reform councillor quits days after election

Oh dear. I was unhappy about Reform’s successes in the recent UK elections. despite the efforts of one commentator on social media to pretemd the outcome wasn’t that bad cos more than 70 percent of voters didn’t vote for them… meaning that nearly 30 percent did, of course, which is far too many. Still, there’s already one down…

A Reform UK councillor who was elected last week has resigned and been expelled from the party.
Stuart Prior was one of 53 Reform members who were elected to Essex County Council and earned a majority on the authority for Nigel Farage’s party. Prior also gained a seat on Rochford District Council.
But he was accused the week before the elections of creating racist and Islamophobic posts on social media by Hope Not Hate.
The BBC attempted to contact Prior. He denied being a racist when approached by the Daily Mirror newspaper. […]
Stuart Prior is alleged to have described white people as “the master race” who have “larger brains”.
Hope Not Hate also claimed Prior deleted an X account named @essexpriory earlier this year which had tweeted in November “Muslims are dirt” and “Muslims are awful, globally”. He was accused of posting that genocide could not be committed against them. […]
Farage was asked by BBC Essex last month if all of Reform’s candidates had been vetted in the county.
“I know that our candidates will be held to a higher standard than any of the other parties,” said the Clacton MP.
“That’s because we are the challengers. We are the ones taking on the establishment. Yet we have done a good, thorough professional job”.

A professional job of what, though? Apparently the party had been advised before the election that this Prior individual was a liability, so why did they let him through only to dump him almost immediately after the election? I don’t understand the thinking on Reform’s part, but then again there probably wasn’t any thinking in the first place…

Oh my god I think I’ve got a hard-on

Oh YEAH. All those fuckin’ cunts are DOOMED. I mean, OBVIOUSLY so am I but it’s so good to be reminded that all of these pieces of shit are just as mortal. Obviously there’s still a ton of havoc they can perpetrate until mortality catches up them, and whatever comes after them probably won’t be any better, but it’s still a cheering thought with which to go to bed.

Abe Lincoln would like a word, too

OK. According to the story that I presume this Cody Simpson believes, Jesus was judicially killed by the Romans. Trump is still alive, even if only just, and his rotten physical health will almost certainly do him in before the courts ever will. I think that’s a slight difference between him and that Christ character (we will, of course, leave aside the theological question of whether the latter still “lives” or not)…

WHCD? Whatever

I honestly don’t know what to say about the perplexing “events” at the White House Correspondents Dinner a couple of days ago, so I’m just going to let Mike Figueredo do it for me. Personally I don’t know what to make of all the “false flag” theorising that’s emerged from it…

…in that, frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised to discover it was a false flag, but I’d be equally unsurprised to discover it wasn’t. Not, of course, that we’ll ever find out either way, but still. It’s just, you know, America being America in the age of Mushroom Cock. You get up each day, have breakfast, check the news… “yeah, that’s the bullshit America’s on today, oh well, time I was getting on with my own”… I mean, someone actually did die in that 2024 shooting, which is the consideration that stops me writing that off as a hoax in the way that even MAGAts are (apparently) increasingly thinking it was. But there’s so much cynicism about what the administration does and how it does it that you can’t blame people’s cynicism about this sort of thing. A false flag? The real deal? I can honestly believe either. I don’t know either way, and I’m not sure I even care either way. It’s America’s bullshit as usual, whatever it is, and I’m just so fucking sick of it.
